Google on 12 January posted on it blog that it is facing many attacks from China. It seems it is deliberately sponsored by the Filter happy Chinese government. This might be an attempt to help it's domestic search engine Baidu, to keep Google at short end. And it roumored that world biggest brand Google might leave China if the Internet censorship continues. This is the first time in world history that a company has decided to stop doing business on the basis of Human Rights. There are every kind of ban in China you can not talk about Politics, Government Policy, T word is banned, Free is something Chinese people have never heard. Every big brand operating in China have faced the problem in doing business in China. Be it Apple, Microsoft etc. they all had to go the Chinese way unlike other countries where government entourages foreign investors and helping to create good base for foreign brand.
China has never respected other economies or international community. In the coming days we will see how the thing takes place. Being a major economy petty issues like Internet Censorship is not expected. This is not only to this There are other things where we can see China creating problem border disputes with Russia, India, Japan and other weak Asian nations. On 14 Jan I heard news of White House backing Google in its stand again censorship . So now the war on censorship has rose to the political level. Even Chinese people have shows there support for Google.
It shows that people of China are not happy the current situation. The Great Firewall of China needs to be taken down. All these years it was like China government playing a School teacher by directing the people what to talk, what to see, what to read. Most of the things which are associated with Human Rights, Free will are banned in China. and Google has started a war of words.
It's time for China to look ahead and accept the current situation it's now or never.
